BPEC Solar Domestic Hot Water

This three day course is designed for new and existing solar DHW Installers. The course is accompanied by a Training Manual which candidates should have studied prior to attending the course. The course is designed
to meet the current competency requirements of the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS):

 

Course content includes:

• Introduction to Solar DHW and drivers for change
• Overview of Solar Thermal systems
• Solar Thermal collectors
• Solar hot water storage
• System specification
• System installation
• System commissioning and Handover
• BPEC Practical and Theory assessment

The course will conclude with a Theory and Practical assessment. If successful, candidates will then receive a
certificate of competence from BPEC.

Please bring the following when attending this course:

• Original certificates for Unvented and Vented Hot Water
• Water Regulations and Part L (energy efficiency)
• 2 passport size photos
• National Insurance Number
• Suitable protective clothing
